Priscilla Nangura Robertson is an artist of the Yuendumu Art Centre located 350km north west of Alice Springs where Priscilla was born. Priscilla is well known for her use of vibrant colours when painting Ngapa Jukurrpa (Water Dreaming) at the site Puyurru.
The bright yet contrasting deep tones represent Puyurru, west of Yuendumu. Capturing ‘mulju’ or natural wells in the usually dried creek beds. The kirda of Puyurru are the Nangala & Nampijinpa women and Jangala & Jampijinpa men. Using unique colour and iconography of small circles to portray the riverbed.
